The Path Ahead...

..is filled with so many interesting things if you take the time to walk it slowly, look carefully, talk to people honestly, act conscientiously, always be kindess and, of course, take a few pictures along the way. I'm not 100% sure yet what this blog will be about. I hope to discover a deeper purpose as this journey unfolds.

But first .. a little bit about me...

I worked in the corporate world in a very satisfying job in what is called "Go-to-Market" leadership position, which basically means (hearding cats) making the ideas and strategies come to life as a company launches a new product in the marketplace, and make sure that all marketing and promotional vehicles are in place, sales and service channels are trained and ready, websites are updated, and the products we are hoping new customers will buy work well for them and are easy to use. It's a whole heck of a lot of coordination and communication.

And I absolutely loved it! I worked for almost 40 years and raised my two children with my husband, who sadly passed away from cancer a year ago. My focus had always been on doing the right thing, for my family, my children and then of course for my wonderful husband. I regret none of it!!! I am grateful beyond words for having that life.

But when I paused and realized I needed to continue marching forward in life basically solo (the children are grown at this point), I realized I was at a crossroads where I could decide to go back to days full of conference calls and power points --- OR --- I could try to do something I had always dreamed of. To be a travel photographer, and to get to see the world in a whole new way and to show others who are not able to see it in person what else this amazing planet has produced.

My Path

That is what this blog is about. And I truly hope you will get inspirations for your version of "finding your dream". For me it's also been about learning camera gear, learning Lightroom, learning about nature and wildlife habitats, and also creating a greater awareness and concern for various conservation efforts. I learned I genuinely care about finding ways through visual photographs to inspire people to care more about nature, wildlife, precious ecosystems and peoples that deserve to be protected and preserved.

This blog will touch on many of those aspects as well as share photographs taken along the way. If anyone reading this is interested in my photography, stories, or travel tips, please fell free to contact me.
