Going to Africa!

My next trip is to Africa! In less than 3 weeks! Getting prepared for a trip like this is exciting but it does require some detailed research on being prepared. Let's just see how well I do.

Travel Requirements

1. COVID vaccine - done, all of them, plus the boosters

2. QR code to prove COVID vaccine. What the hell? We don't have an organized centralized tracking system in the United States. We just have the manual COVID card the pharmacist filled out.

3. Checked and double checked that no other vaccines are needed to visit Tanzania.

4. Masks required to travel - I'm used to it and it's fine.

5. Visa is required. The website in Africa is confusing, but you can also apply for one right at the airport. Still trying to confirm which method is best. I would prefer to take care of it ahead of time so I'll keep researching.

6. 24 hours prior to departure - go to Tanzania embassy website to complete an entry form

To Pack

1. Passport, IDs, currency

2. One suitcase and one carryon bag only

3. Camera gear, extra memory cards

4. Normal array of medicines, hygiene products and electronic chargers

5. All the rest that will fit into the luggage
